Learning how to sing is a hard task - no matter your age or experience level, I will find out about what you are interested in besides music and use that as a hook to help you understand what's going on in our lessons. Although I am tough, I want you to get the most out of your time. I am positive and love to laugh.

 

As a former teacher, I have taught K to 8th grade music. For two years, I taught 6th to 8th grade chorus in North Carolina; my program grew at a rate of 30% annually compared to the band and orchestra who struggled to gain 5%. I attributed this success to my style of teaching which is accessible to everyone.

 

Besides teaching in public schools, I have also taught members of my own private studio from ages 10 to 60, and worked as an associate director of music for a church in North Carolina.  I currently sing at St. Joseph Chapel (St. Peter's) in Battery Park City.  Stop by the 7:30PM mass on Sundays to hear me play/sing!

 

Having just finished my masters from the Manhattan School of Music in opera performance, I am an active opera singer.
